Transport to Success (all year round since 1998)
Kwoon
Chung Motors Company, Limited provides free shuttle bus transport
from schools to the Life Education Activity Programme (LEAP) Education Center
for countless classes of students ever since it was opened.
The LEAP is an internationally recognised health awareness and drug prevention programme for primary school children. It encourages a healthy lifestyle by avoiding drugs and other substance abuse.

BSPU/SCMP Web Design Competition 2000-01 (March 2001-2011)
Same
as in the previous year, the Kwoon Chung Bus Group
sponsors the transportation for the winning student team of BSPU/SCMP Web Design
Competition 2000-01 for outings at various places in Hong Kong such as Ocean
Park and a green farm in the New Territories as one of the prizes.
Through sponsoring the competition, the Kwoon Chung Bus Group wish to enhance the youngsters' understanding of Hong Kong service economy and encourages them to equip themselves for challenge in participating in a practical and stimulating exercise.

Heart-To-Heart Charity Walk 2000 (May 2000)

Chung Motors Company, Limited offered free shuttle bus service for
the Heart-To-Heart Charity Walk, a fund-raising event of Children's Heart Foundation
held at the Peak on 1 May 2000.
This charity walk aimed at arousing public awareness of children's congenital heart conditions, promoting hill walking as a healthy activity for all ages, as well raising funds for Children's Heart Foundation. Kwoon Chung Motors Company, Limited was honoured to be invited to participate this meaningful activity.

Think Green, Adopt a Tree (April 2000)
Kwoon
Chung Motors Company, Limited supported the "Have A Green Christmas"
program jointly organized by The Conservancy Association and The Repulse Bay
Company Limited in sponsoring the seedlings planted in the country park in a
tree planting activity on Earth Day 2000 (22 April) with an aim to promote environmental
conservation and to protect the natural forestation by preserving and planting
of more trees.
Sponsorship for Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education for Transport and Logistics (April 2000)
The
Kwoon Chung Bus Group supported and offered
financial contribution to a project of Hong Kong Institution of Vocational Education
(Tsing Yi) in establishing the Hong Kong Centre for Transport and Logistics
(HKCTL) for the transport and logistics industry in Hong Kong. The mission of
the centre is to promote the study of transportation and logistics, technology
transfer and sharing of good practices.

BSPU/SCMP Web Design Competition 1999-2000 (March 2000)
The
Kwoon Chung Bus Group sponsored the BSPU/SCMP
Web Design Competition 1999-2000 launched by the Business and Services Promotion
Unit (BSPU) of the Financial Secretary's Office, HKSAR Government and South
China Morning Post (SCMP) through offering free transport service for the three
winning school teams to attend special events at the Ocean Park, a green farm
and a cinema.
The competition aimed at drawing public attention, especially that of young people, to the importance of the services sector to our economy. The Group, in sponsoring the competition, believed it would have a positive effect on the career and business plans of the young people in Hong Kong.

First Aid Action towards 2000 (January 2000)

Chung Motors Company, Limited sponsored a shuttle bus service to
an activity of Hong Kong Red Cross called First Aid Action towards 2000 that
aimed at mobilizing volunteers to carry out Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
procedures on manikins over 2000 minutes from 6:00a.m., 8 January 2000 to 4:00p.m.,
9 January 2000.
By sponsoring this activity, we hoped to raise awareness of the public in learning first aid and more importantly, to encouraged people to help and serve one another in times of accidents, a gesture of showing humanity in the community.

Millennium Pedal Kart Race (January 2000)

Chung Motors Company, Limited offered financial support to the teams
of The Hongkong Electric Co. Ltd. and South Island School who took part in the
annual Pedal Kart event, a charity fund raising campaign organised by Hong Kong
Round Table No.3 and No.10 that invites local teams of athletes to race around
a specially designed Grand Prix circuit in the Victoria Park for 24 hours.
Good People Management Award 1999 (December 1999)
The
Kwoon Chung Bus Group was one of the five
winners of the Good People Management Award 1999 (GPMA) under the "establishments
with employment size 501 and above" category. The award was organised by
the Workplace Consultation Promotion Unit of the Labour Department, HKSAR Government,
aiming at promoting, encouraging and commending employers in achieving good people
management. The assessment consisted of three stages, namely self-assessment
by participants, preliminary screening and final selection.
1999 TDC Services Award for Export Marketing (December 1999)
The
Kwoon Chung Bus Group was awarded the 1999
TDC Services Award for Export Marketing, one of the awards of the Hong Kong
Awards for Services presented by Hong Kong Coalition of Service Industry. The
Hong Kong Awards for Services is designed to showcase the outstanding achievements
of the Hong Kong services sector by publicly recognising quality companies.
Its aim is to raise the standard of service industries in Hong Kong by heightening
general awareness of them and encouraging local companies and the community
to put more emphasis on service-related training.

30-Hour Famine 1998 (April 1998)

Chung Motors Company, Limited
offered free shuttle bus service for the 30-Hour Famine 1998, a fund raising
event organised by the World Vision Hong Kong.
The event was aimed to arouse people's awareness of poverty around the world. Participants were offered opportunities to experience 30 hours famine throughout the camp. The Group was pleased to be invited to provide shuttle bus services for the volunteers.
